Our history

After being intrigued by the presence of a dolphin in the port of La Ciotat eating plastic, it was in 2021 that Rémi Allain, a naval architect who worked in design offices and shipyards for 10 years, decided to set up his own company to fight against all types of floating waste at sea. He then wondered how to improve the performance and facilitate the operations of those involved in maritime pollution control, and invented the MPS (Marine Pollution Solution).

With a view to developing complementary solutions to the MPS, Rémi Allain met David Benmecheta who has been assembling nets by hand for 20 years in his workshop in Martigues. The technical expertise of his company Filetsdepêche allows V2O Marine to provide its customers with made in France and high-quality products.

This alliance between offshore and computational expertise and technical and field experience allows the two companies to complement each other by jointly conceptualizing innovative systems, through common values.

Since this partnership, V2O Marine has offered a diversified range of customized systems to meet the specific needs of our customers: offshore and near-shore waste collection nets (hydrocarbons, micro- and macro-plastics, toxic algae, etc.), retention systems for sargassum algae, green algae, and jellyfish, and waste recovery nets for sewer outlets. The company also offers engineering studies for system sizing, and expertise in techniques for installing nets at sea (moorings, anchoring, fastening chains).
